Wren Community Website:
Disaster Preparedness Network
The Wren Disaster Preparedness Network is a project of the WCC to build a disaster resilient community. There are eleven local Phone Tree areas (described as "neighborhoods") in our community (click here to see Map) These areas have volunteer Leaders who are in contact with the community co-coordinators: Karen Kennedy (541) 929-5711 and Krisa Gigon (541) 929-4449. You have the chance to participate in this Network if you’d like. In the event of an emergency the co-coordinators would activate the Phone Tree Network, calling your Neighborhood Leader. They, or a nearby neighbor, would contact you, see if you’re okay, and give you info or instructions. You may be asked to pass the message on to another neighbor on the Phone Tree, as doing so could save lives. Call Karen or Krisa to sign up.
You can also receive rapid notification by landline phone, text message, cell phone, email, or multiple phone numbers in case of emergency is through the Linn-Benton Alert System. To sign up, go online to: http://www.co.benton.or.us/sheriff/.
